This new 5-story block and plank hotel features 132 guest suites and offers accommodations for every type of travel.
The Springhill Suites by Marriott is an on-grade structure with no basement. A small pool is located within the footprint of the overall hotel. Construction is load bearing masonry walls and hollow core precast plank floors and roof. Exterior non-load bearing walls comprised of cold-formed steel framing and exterior insulation and finished systems. Construction also consisted of a steel-framed area to accommodate first-floor clear openings and public gathering areas. This structure is supported on shallow spread footings with the design based on specific geotechnical considerations.
